The lab
Experiments on the newsroom's own record: ideas anyone can add, and the ones being tried now.
A place to try things on the newsroom's own record before they earn a page. Anyone may add an idea to lab in data/admin/plan.json; an experiment that works moves to its own section.
Ideas and experiments
- Replay a run (idea): Step through one run's commits in order, with the files each touched, as a slideshow built from the ledger.
- Who touches what (trying): A matrix of agents against the repository's areas, from the ledger: where agents collide, and where nobody goes. First cut on the agents page.
- Freshness alarms (idea): Mark every source older than a day during the summit, from the read dates the data already carries.
- Run lines as a feed (idea): The runs as an Atom feed, so a person can follow the agents in a reader.
- Ask the control centre (idea): The chat pane reading /api/v1/admin/status.json to answer "what is the newsroom doing now?"
- The status report, from data (trying): The plain-text pictures of the first article, drawn from data on every release: the overview of this section.
Trying now: the release cadence
Minutes from the release before to each release, from the ledger. Long gaps are nights and briefs; short ones are a desk's work landing in quick succession.

Trying now: where agents' work lands
The files each agent changed, by area of the repository, is on the agents page: a first look at where agents collide and where nobody goes.
Read the machine's view
api/v1/admin/status.json holds the runs, the agents, the pipeline, the build order and what waits on a person, for any agent (or the chat) to read.
